Group singing is one of the most positive forms of human expression, supporting physical, mental and social health. It facilitates community, bring people of different ages and abilities together to achieve something unique that no single person could create alone - Dr. D Wicks (2015)
The Wagga Women’s Health Centre supports UNISONg which is a diverse, inclusive, 'come when you can' and non-auditioned, performing optional community women's choir in Wagga Wagga. UNISONg provides a supportive and inclusive environment for members to meet each Monday evening during school terms (7.00-8.30 pm) and improve their wellbeing through meaningful and directed musical connection. We are a 'come when you can and performing is optional' choir because our focus is on women within the community experiencing the joys and benefits of group singing.

Singing in a group strengthens a community’s social connection, health education and wellbeing outcomes, including mental health.
